Beautiful Former Migdale Hospital For Sale

Bell Ingram Chartered Surveyors are delighted to have been instructed on behalf of NHS Highland in respect of the marketing of the former Migdale Hospital in Bonar Bridge.

Migdale

The former Migdale Hospital has become surplus to requirements due to the new purpose built hospital having just newly opened in Bonar Bridge with all services and patients now having been transferred.

The sale of the original hospital provides a fantastic opportunity to acquire a substantial historic building with excellent redevelopment opportunities.

The main building comprises an extensive property dating from circa 1870 being a stone constructed two storey building set under pitched slate roof.  There are various extensions to the rear some of which are modern and there is also a single storey detached property to the front which has been used as staff accommodation until recently.  The former Migdale Hospital is situated on an elevated site above Bonar Bridge and enjoys spectacular views to the south over Sutherland to the hills beyond.

Commenting on the sale Euan MacCrimmon of selling agents Bell Ingram stated that.

“The sale of the former Migdale Hospital provides fantastic opportunity to acquire an historic extensive property located in stunning scenery overlooking Bonar Bridge. Given the popularity of the area we are expecting interest from a range of purchasers and would envisage that the building has a number of potential uses such as residential, hotel/guesthouse and specialist uses subject to appropriate consents being obtained.”

Commenting is now closed.
