• Increase in lettings shows confidence returning to the commercial market

    Oban 21Oct2011

Recently completed was the letting of a prominent retail unit on the ground floor of Boswell House on Argyll Square.  Our clients are delighted to have put in place a long term lease to Mr and Mrs McCulloch and Mr and Mrs Love trading as The Pantry.  This new business will be an excellent addition within the town centre of Oban and will provide a wide range of high quality food and beverage products with the aim of brining local produce to the High Street.

Also recently completed on the retail front was the letting of 112 George Street which again was let on a long term lease and will be trading as a high quality confection outlet.

We are also pleased to announce the letting of Dunollie Halls within the town centre.  This landmark building has been taken by a hostel operator who has plans to convert and fit out the former church building to a state of the art hostel offering a high level of quality accommodation aimed at the backpacker and budget accommodation market.

It is pleasing to note that recent activity in the commercial market in Oban.  Bell Ingram has also been asked to advise on the marketing of high quality new build office/workshop units within the town.  These new lettings and proposals for development show an increase in confidence returning to the commercial market after 24 months of limited activity.
