• Could this be your forest soon? Aigas Community Forest

You may have heard that a local Committee has been established to explore the possible community purchase of Aigas Forest - the woodlands (currently owned by the Forestry Commission) located on the west side of the River Beauly above and around Crask of Aigas and Teanassie.

People in lower Strathglass are now being given a chance to have their say about what should happen. It will be important to ensure that any plans drawn up for the Forest reflect the hopes and needs of the community, and so Bell Ingram Consultants have been commissioned to carry out an independent survey of local people.

Please download and complete the survey form to tell us your thoughts about Aigas Forest as it is just now – then tell us what you’d love to see happen (or not happen!) in the future. E-mail your completed survey form to patrick.laughlin@bellingram.co.uk.

There is also to be a public gathering for everyone to view and discuss the proposals in more detail on Monday 29 June at 7.30 pm at Kilmorack Hall. Please come along if you can. Thanks for your help!
