This lecture, from Matthew Williams, Curator of Cardiff Castle, will consider the life, stewardship and legacy of John Patrick Crichton-Stuart (1848-1900), Third Marquess of Bute: scholar, theologian, linguist, benefactor, Rector of the University of St Andrews and great architectural patron.



Tickets £25 (£20 to Friends of Falkland’s Heritage) from Falkland Centre for Stewardship.

Guided tours of the House available from 5pm by prior arrangement.
