Bag your very own Munro

12th September 2003

The sale of part of the Cuillin range on Skye, which includes several Munros, created a huge amount of interest. “Munro Bagging” is a popular sport and the sale of Lagnaha on Scotland’s West Coast offers a rare opportunity to bag your very own Munro since the property includes Sgorr Dhonuill, 3,284 ft (1,001 metres). Sgorr Dhonuill (Donald’s Peak) is one of two peaks which form the dramatically named Hill of the Thunderbolt (Beinn a Bheithir). It rises gracefully above the narrows of Loch Leven at Ballachulish and the two peaks are joined by a long curving ridge forming magnificent north facing corries.

Although Laganaha is a working farm with some 3,358 acres (1,354 Ha) of land, it is possible that the property will appeal to potential non-farming land owners who want the land for its amenity value and to create a home in a peaceful pollution free environment. The house at Lagnaha has been meticulously improved and maintained by the present owners. The result is a particularly fine six bedroom family home with four bath/shower rooms (two en suite) and two reception rooms.

Lagnaha has the advantage of a well equipped three bedroom holiday cottage with an established holiday let record which supplements the income from the land which is currently grazed under licence by some 1,400 sheep. Please visit our houses for sale for further details.
