In the early 1970's, Bell Ingram were appointed by British Gas to act on their behalf on the Frigg I-IV pipelines built between St. Fergus, near Aberdeen, and the English border. These major projects were followed by contracts with Shell, Esso and B.P. during the 1980's. In order to develop business in this field a new company - Bell Ingram Pipelines - was formed.

During the past 10 years the Company has extended its services to the electricity, water and communications industries, and from its offices in Scotland, at Knutsford in Cheshire and at Thirsk & Morpeth in the North-East of England, now undertakes work for an extensive range of PLCs

Services provided by the Company include:-

• Land referencing


• Negotiating consents


• Public enquiry and compulsory rights work


• Access rights and land purchase


• Compensation negotiation


• Advising on land drainage


• Providing agricultural and liaison personnel on construction projects

Recent contracts have included site search and appraisal for a Wind Farm Developers and wayleaving for Cable T.V. Companies, reflecting new areas of growth requiring specialist land agency services.
