Ardgowan Estate looks set for future expansion

Guy Russell
Director, Ayr Office

Bell Ingram’s Ayr office sees its recent management commission at Ardgowan Estate in Inverclyde as an ideal opportunity to showcase its comprehensive consultancy credentials.

In order to sustain itself in the future, a large multi-use Estate requires to have a clear development framework in place that will enable it to meet the economic and social demands of the wider community and in doing so take full advantage of development opportunities as they arise.

To this end, at Ardgowan, we have stripped the main Estate enterprises down to their core essentials while planning for their restructuring and redevelopment in

partnership with national and local strategies. Already the Estate has been successful in winning significant funding for environmental and renewable schemes on a competitive basis.

Key to this success is having a team with the necessarily broad base of detailed knowledge and the enthusiasm to participate in new initiatives. In Ayr we are fortunate to have sufficient staff with direct
experience of a wide range of disciplines to bolster our traditional estate management service with a comprehensive environmental
project management team. With the new Scottish Rural Development Programme about to be rolled out, now is the time to be considering the breadth of projects that might best meet eligibility criteria.
