edge green space projects in Falkirk. The project valued at just over £800,000 will involve upgrading 13km of footpath and the rehabilitation of 86ha (212.5 acres) of neglected urban woodland. The project also includes a number of initiatives to encourage local people to get involved in their green space, including support for existing community groups, measures to encourage outdoor training and education, a local film project and a celebratory event. The funding award followed a successful bid prepared by the Bell Ingram Falkirk office submitted in April 2007 and Bell Ingram have now been appointed as Project Manager to oversee the delivery of the project.
