The Ale House is situated on the edge of the small
village of Caputh just a few miles from Dunkeld and Perth on

DIRECTIONS
From Dunkeld take the A984 and after about 4 miles pass
the church in Caputh and about 200 yards past the right turn
to Murthly, The Ale House can be seen set back from the road
on the left hand side.
DESCRIPTION
The Ale House was built in the 1800’s and has recently
been beautifully restored keeping most of its original
features and retaining a high degree of character. The work
has been done to a high standard with new double glazed sash
and case windows throughout and deep panelled timber doors
with brass fittings.
This three storey stone built former brewery building is
listed category B and is attached, although only at the
lower level, to the former granary which is in separate
ownership. The house enjoys a large garden giving shelter
