River Ardle Salmon Fishing

Pitcarmick Estate, Perthshire, Scotland

FISHING

Salmon fishing available from mid August 2008 on the River Ardle, one of the tributaries of the River Tay. This is an idyllic lightly fished beat, with prolific autumn runs. Three rods per day available at a cost of £50 plus VAT per rod per day. Accommodation can be arranged in local hotels if required.

The Estate encourages catch and release and strongly supports the Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board 2008 Catch & Release code. This includes all hen fish from 1 June until the end of the season are to be released with the aim of releasing at least 50% of the cock fish caught and in particular cock fish weighing over 15 pounds. Since all coloured fish are to be released and no worming or spinning are permitted.

The gamekeeper will be available at the start of the week two to help identify pools and show guests the river.
