Burns Cottage is a ruinous cottage which is in need of complete restoration or demolition. It comprises the original stone cottage and a wooden extension where the bathroom and kitchen were housed. The property is accessed via a field gate to the garden grounds. There is a grassed driveway to the house.
The site itself is in an idyllic location enjoying superb sea and mountain views. The site extends to approximately 0.277 acres (0.112 hectares) and is stock fenced.
The property has mains electricity and drainage to the site although not in use and has previously been decrofted.
From Inverness follow the A9 north crossing the Cromarty Bridge, between Evanton and Alness take the left turn (B9176) to Bonar Bridge over the Struie. At Bonar Bridge head north on the A836 towards Lairg and Tongue. After approximately 40 miles you will see a sign for Brae Tongue. The cottage is situated just past the left-hand turn. Parking is available in the space beside the field gate.
