Guest Accommodation / Letting Bedrooms
The licenced lounge bar is a cosy and relaxing area complete with attractive tables and chairs in front of a well-equipped bar for guests to enjoy a refreshment before or after dinner. The hotel has a restricted licence for residents only and with evening meals only for non-residents. The use of décor is in-keeping with the local area and receives great complements from guests. The bar area has its own male, female and disabled toilets. Set to the front of the hotel, the guest lounge is furnished with comfy leather sofas offering a tranquil retreat after a day's exploring, along with an assortment of books and boardgames, plus general information of the local area.
The sun lounge / conservatory is utilised as the main dining area for guests, providing 10 covers, and offers a room with a view across the beautiful moorland and lochans, and out to Baleshare Island. Featuring stone walls and benefitting from natural light, this area creates a bright space for guests to enjoy breakfast and an evening meal.
The modern dining room is pleasantly decorated and utilises free-standing tables and chairs. This area is used as an additional dining area for extra covers, or for large groups, and can seat up to 16 covers. The hotel is currently run as residents only but does take non-residents for evening meals if capacity allows. Booking in advance is essential due to the high demand. The hotel is not open during the day for coffee/tea or lunch.
In total, the hotel offers 10 tastefully decorated letting bedrooms, each with their own en-suite facilities. The rooms are light and inviting, and well-equipped with attractive furniture, comfortable beds, desks and comfy chairs. The in-room facilities include digital TV, well-stocked hospitality trays, hairdryers and locally sourced organic toiletries. Ironing boards and irons are stored centrally. The en-suites are presented to a high standard throughout.
The letting rooms are configured as follows; 4 single rooms, 3 double rooms and 3 twin rooms. The twin rooms can be conveniently configured as either a twin or a super-king double. The single rooms are furnished with small double-size beds.
Service Areas
The hotel benefits from a functional semi-commercial kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped including 2 gas stoves with oven under, 2 commercial extractor canopies, 2 double fryers, 3 microwaves, 2 commercial fridges, 1 commercial freezer, new commercial dishwasher, grease trap, water boiler, filter coffee machine and ample storage. There are ample prep and servery areas, and a walk-in dry store.
The adjacent laundry room comprises Belfast sink, 3 washing machines, 3 tumble dryers and a rotary iron. 1 washing machine and 1 tumble dryer are of commercial standard and are brand new. Throughout the building there is good level of storage for linen and housekeeping supplies.
There is an office toward the entrance to the hotel, opposite the guest lounge, which also serves as the reception area.
Owners Accommodation
The owner’s accommodation is spacious and comprises 1 large bedroom with fitted wardrobes, a snug area which can be used as dressing area or seating area and an ensuite bathroom. This accommodation would suit a couple, however should additional private accommodation be required new owners may choose to utilise 2 of the letting bedrooms which are situated in the same part of the building as the owners’ accommodation and completely separate from the other 8 letting bedrooms.
External
There is a maintained garden to the rear of the hotel. To the north side there is a car park for 8 vehicles, and further space for 6 vehicles in a designated roadside layby opposite the hotel.
To the rear of the hotel there is a garage / outbuilding. Within this there are 2 large freezers, a bike rack for 5 cycles, and other general stores.
