The Croft and Land
The Holding of 2b Laide extends to approximately 1.12ha (2.76acres) in total and comprises an owner-occupied croft of 0.74ha (1.82acres) which is registered with the Crofting Commission and two decrofted areas of 0.17ha (0.42acres) and 0.21ha (0.52acres). The area for sale is shown in PINK on the map below, with the decrofted areas cross-hatched in BLUE.
A tarmac track from the public road provides access to the decrofted areas and the two existing houses (Honeysuckle Cottage and Rose Cottage).
The property is level, well fenced and has good access, and offers useful grazing for cattle or sheep and the opportunity to develop the decrofted land for dwelling houses. Planning permission has previously been granted for the erection of two-dwelling houses on the site.
From Inverness take the A9 before turning onto the A835 at the Tore roundabout, signposted for Ullapool. Continue along this road for approximately 36 miles until you reach Braemore Junction. Turn left here and follow the A832 through Dundonnell, South Coast and North Coast for 29 miles until you reach the village of Laide. The property is located near the south end of the village with the access road lying just to the north of the Old Smiddy Bed and Breakfast. The Old Smiddy Bed and Breakfast lies opposite Laide Free Presbyterian Church.
