Lewinside Farm is a traditional detached one and a half storey farmhouse under a pitched slate roof, with a single storey extension to the side.
Previously, the farm was a milking dairy and there are a number of stone and brick outbuildings. The farmhouse is in need of considerable renovation and the outbuildings are serviceable but in need of work. The property is being sold as seen.
In addition to the farmhouse, courtyard and outbuildings, there is an additional area of pasture land giving 10.13 ha (25.03acres). There will be a right of access over the farm track which is being retained by Forestry and Land Scotland.
Accommodation
An entrance porch, with surrounding windows, has a glazed panel door opening into the hall. To the left is the family room which has a window to the courtyard and a brick fireplace. From here there is access through to a small study or home office which has a window to the rear.
The second public room is to the right from the hall way. It has a tiled fireplace and a window to the front. A further glazed door gives access to a large kitchen. The kitchen also has a small porch with an external door to the courtyard. Also off the kitchen is a large utility room with wall tiling and a Belfast-style sink. An external door opens to the rear.
Continuing along the hall is a dining room with a press cupboard and a window, and completing the ground floor is the family bathroom with WC, wash basin, bath and a window.
The turning staircase has cast iron spindles and a wooden balustrade and with a window at mid-level there is natural light to the stairs and hallway.
On the upper floor are four bedrooms and a boxroom with a Velux roof window. The two smaller bedrooms to the rear of the farmhouse both have combe ceilings and Velux roof windows.
