A number of weeks are available to let on what is
reckoned to be one of the most attractive sea-trout and salmon
rivers in Scotland. Three miles of fishing is available. The
proprietors own the south bank fishings however by arrangement with
the north bank proprietors the river is fished in 2 rotating beats
on a double bank basis changing beats at lunchtime.
Salmon and sea-trout fishing normally starts in May, although very
early fish are occasionally seen in April. A catch and release
policy is practised. The fishing is for up to 5 rods over a number
of pools including The Loch Point, House Pool, Cliff, Captains, The
Road Pools, many others and the Sea Pool. A ghillie is not always
available.
Rowanhill Cottage can be included in the let and offers very
comfortable well equipped accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 twin
bedded rooms. Being situated in one of the most beautiful parts of
the west coast of Scotland with a wealth of local interest, the
fishing and cottage offer an ideal family holiday for a fishing
