Acquisition and Disposals
Bell Ingram regularly acquire sites of all sizes for utility projects, either by purchase or lease, including securing necessary access rights and temporary working areas as required for clients. Examples include valve sites, pumping stations, substations and any above ground installation required for a utility scheme. We will establish who owns the land, negotiate appropriate terms for purchase or lease, recommend market terms to clients and assist their solicitors with the legal process if needed.
Bell Ingram’s surveyors manage the disposal of surplus or redundant property for utility clients and government bodies. Sales can be undertaken on the open market through our Estate Agency team, via public auction or by private negotiation with adjoining landowners. We carry out site inspections, prepare inspection reports, review titles either with clients’ solicitors or through the Land Registry, provide valuations and submit recommendations to clients on method of disposal. We will then assist in the disposal process as required.
