    Situated in the heart of Spittal of Glenshee, one of Perthshire’s most spectacular glens, Balinauld enjoys an exceptional setting on the southern fringe of the Cairngorms National Park. Renowned for its outstanding natural beauty, the area is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with excellent opportunities for hillwalking, fishing, shooting and golf. Nearby courses include Dalmunzie and Braemar, while the championship courses of Blairgowrie and Gleneagles, together with the world-famous links at St Andrews, are all within easy reach. For winter sports enthusiasts, Glenshee Ski Centre lies just 5 miles away.

    To the north, the historic village of Braemar, approximately 15 miles distant, is celebrated for its annual Highland Gathering, a tradition attended by members of the Royal Family since Queen Victoria’s first visit in 1848.

    To the south, Bridge of Cally offers a welcoming community with a village shop, post office, hotel and village hall. Primary schooling is available in nearby Kirkmichael, with secondary education provided in Blairgowrie. A number of highly regarded independent schools can be found throughout Perthshire, including Craigclowan, Ardvreck, Glenalmond and Strathallan.

    Travel through Blairgowrie and turn a left onto the A93, following signs for Braemar. Continue along this route until you reach the village of Bridge of Cally. Cross the bridge and bear right to stay on the road towards Braemar.
