About: Finlay is an Architecture Student undertaking a one-year placement with Bell Ingram Design, Bell Ingram’s in-house Architectural and Planning practice. He is currently studying Architecture MArch at the University of Dundee and joined Bell Ingram in August 2026 as part of his studies.

During his placement, Finlay is working alongside Bell Ingram Design’s architects, planners and technologists, gaining practical experience across a range of work from conservation projects to rural developments, while working on all stages of the RIBA plan of work from building surveying to spatial coordination, technical drawings, planning applications.

Finlay has a particular interest in conservation in relation to the environmental impact and sustainability of buildings by expanding their life cycle and hopes to gain great experience to develop key skills and help work towards becoming a qualified architect in the future.
